In the past, campaign advisors may have thought it risky for candidates to go on podcasts and face questions that they hadn’t prepared for. Now, though, it appears to add to their credibility, giving voters the sense that they’re seeing an authentic side of the candidates.
Podcasts have certainly been excellent for Londoners who want to follow the US election closely. They’ve enabled them to get a well-rounded view of the candidates, without having to rely solely on the news. Twitter and other social media sites have been useful in this regard as well.
